The GT Future campaign began at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, where we joined Wale to preview the new Nike Basketball silhouette. Its design immediately felt connected to the lineage of Flightposites and Foamposites which is a visual language with strong cultural weight in the DMV.

We led the creative direction across narrative development, visual language, activations, and experiential moments. Wale became the first person to publicly debut the GT Future during NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco.

The wider campaign drew inspiration from a basketball-recruit storyline in the first season of The Wire, reinterpreting themes of pressure, opportunity, and expectation through D.C. basketball culture. The rollout used places with local resonance: the historic YMCA in the U Street corridor, a community game at Ballou High School, and a pop-up at Iverson Mall.

Each element was designed to feel like part of a lived-in hotel lobby. From the initial 3D visualization through the final build, the goal was to create a stage that felt cinematic, immersive, and unmistakably connected to Ari.

Exhibition Storytelling

The future is often presented like science fiction: cold, distant, metallic, and untouchable. Smithsonian FUTURES offered the opportunity to imagine something more expansive, where warmth, color, vulnerability, and humanity were as present as innovation.

As part of the exhibition's core creative team, we helped shape the moving-image and visual-identity system surrounding the project. The work moved between digital communication and the physical exhibition, translating complex ideas into something emotionally accessible without losing their ambition.

Google's Black Summit is technically about technology, but culturally it speaks to something much larger: visibility, possibility, community, and the experience of being recognized inside an industry that often communicates through polished corporate language.

We led the creative development, narrative writing, and direction of the summit's opening film. Voice, symbolism, and layered visual storytelling established an emotionally honest tone before anyone stepped onstage, acknowledging complexity while still making room for hope.

The Nike ACG Goadome has long existed at the intersection of outdoor utility and city identity. This exclusive Family & Friends edition draws on Wale's deep connection to sneaker culture and Washington, D.C., blending the familiar functionality of the boot with his Every Blue Moon identity.

An all-black embossed upper, tonal construction, waxed laces, restrained navy accents, and custom Wale branding push the silhouette toward rugged luxury. The visible Air platform remains intact, preserving the boot's functional character while giving it a more personal visual language.
